Moetlo Maria Moganedi Senior Mining Engineer

MBA

BSc Eng (Mining)

Moetlo joined the Ukwazi maverick team in May 2019, and is currently responsible for onsite technical service management, comprising mine design and planning, coal reconciliation and efficiency analysis.

Moetlo started out in the industry as a graduate trainee at Marula Platinum (Implats), before moving on to various senior positions within production, including that of mine overseer, mine manager and board member.

She spent most of her mining career in underground, hard rock mining with exposure to commodities such as platinum, gold, and antimony. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about mining, but what gives her most satisfaction in her work life, is witnessing people’s lives being improved because of the business-related decisions she makes every day.

Moetlo, based in Mpumalanga, is a professional member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), and has completed an MBA through Wits Business School.
